In the reference cited above, the proposal has been submitted by the Director, Mid Day Meal & Sanitation of School Education. Government is hereby accorded approval for 4 tier structure of supervision to monitor the Mid Day Meal Scheme to ensure the quality, quantity, timely supply and hygienic conditions and proper implementation as per the revised menu announced by the Hon'ble CM is as follows:
i. Daily monitoring by Head Master/Parent Committee of the respective Schools.
ii. Monitoring every alternate day by the Education & Welfare Asst., of village Secretariat/Ward Secretariat.
iii. Periodical (quarterly)monitoring by the Village Organization of SHGs.
iv. Monitoring by the State/District /Mandal Officers of Education Dept. by way of random inspection of the Mid Day Meal Scheme.
2. Apart from the 4 tier structure of monitoring, the concerned District Collector is nominated as a Nodal Officer for effective implementation of Mid Day Meal Scheme, by carrying out the surprise checks.
3. The Director, Mid Day Meal & Sanitation of School Education shall take further action accordingly.
